AAA Careers Night

Date: Wednesday 11 December 2019
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
Venue: Mantra on View Hotel, 22 View Ave, Surfers Paradise
Sponsored by:

Previously known as Meet the Graduates, the AAA Careers Night co-hosted by AAA and the Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage (CABAH) provides an unparallelled opportunity for students, recent graduates and Indigenous delegates looking for potential careers in archaeology and cultural heritage to meet a variety of consultants, researchers, teachers and museum staff.

The evening is an opportunity to network in a relaxed environment with potential employers from the consulting, industry, government, research and education sectors.  The careers night will feature sponsor stands, a series of short talks by different archaeologists about their jobs and advice for students on how to get there.  We will also be officially launching the ‘Australian Archaeological Skills Passport’ and making it available to all registered students and Indigenous representatives.

Representatives from our sponsors will be on hand to discuss opportunities and answer questions.  Graduates are strongly encouraged to have copies of their CVs with them to hand out to interested potential employers.

The Careers Night is free of charge for all pre-registered students and recent graduates and for our Platinum, Gold and Silver sponsors only. Canapes and drinks will be served at the event.
